Transit Days

I left Wellington early on the morning of the 12th – left the flat around 7.30 – not having earned nearly what I hoped in New Zealand. Maybe I should have stayed in Queenstown longer, after all. I wouldn’t arrive at David’s place in Totsuka, Japan until 22.30 on the 13th, or 42 hours later. Here are some photographs of the spectacular scenery I didn’t try terribly hard to capture with my camera, trusting my mind to keep the feeling fresh.

Lake Taupo.

North of Tongariro National Park.

Landing in Gold Coast.

Reefs? past Brisbane.

Atolls near Cairns.

Atolls near Papua New Guinea.

Turbulent landing in Narita.
